Our Story

Lonely Letters is a monthly letter subscription service founded by Drew Cremeans, a United States Navy submarine veteran from Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.

Serving on submarines meant months without any contact with the outside world. No calls. No texts. Just the ocean and silence. When we surfaced or pulled into port, mail call was everything. A single handwritten letter from home could carry a sailor through weeks of darkness.

That feeling never left.

Drew still writes letters today — to 14 family members and friends, by hand, every month. He built Lonely Letters because letter writing is a lost art, and because too many people — especially seniors — go days, weeks, and months without anything personal in their mailbox.

Lonely Letters delivers that connection.

Every subscriber receives a warm, personal, handwritten-style letter each month — written specifically for them, not from a template. We learn about their life, their family, their story — and we write to them like we know them. Because after the first letter, we do.

Kindly Yours — A letter worth waiting for.
